Founded in 1998 Media Design School in Auckland has provided a long-term commitment to innovation and excellence in game development education.

The school provides students a production-based environment that blends essential technical and/or creative skills with a strong academic knowledge to produce graduates with the expertise to ‘hit the ground running’ in the industry. A core focus of the games programmes is the real-world exposure to the realities of working in, or starting up a business in the computer games sector. Students are encouraged to develop strong business practices, to work to production pipelines and to meet exacting deadlines.
