Stories that Emerge out of Games:
For students, indies and pro game devs.

A story need not be ‘told’ in a game. With some cunning narrative design, a story can ’emerge’ from the joyful meeting of World and Gameplay, like a baby alien emerging out of John Hurt’s chest. In this 3-hour workshop. Narrative Designer and Game Writer, Edwin McRae, will show you how emergent narratives can be built into your game.

Do I need a licence to use third party content? How do I license the game? Should I set up a company to market and license the game? How do I maximise profits and reduce tax? Do I have to be GST registered? This interactive workshop, given by leading IP, media and technology lawyers and business advisors from Hudson Gavin Martin and PwC, will be run as part presentation, part worked example, and will tackle these issues and many more. Come armed with questions!
