Role Summary:

As an Intermediate Games Programmer you will develop, maintain and debug software applications to meet the needs of the business. This role involves working independently and collaboratively to assemble systems and features to support the production of video games

Main Tasks:

  • Design and develop data and code following direction from programming lead.
  • Work independently to implement new features and tools.
  • Adapt quickly to new coding environments and programming standards.
  • Analyse performance and implement optimizations in both high and low-level code.
  • Work with other team members to implement complex systems.
  • Write clear, readable, portable, functional and maintainable code.
  • Test and debug code effectively to generate stable solutions.
  • Develop high-quality software design and architecture. 
  • Review code from other team members for mistakes, architectural issues and standard violations.

Required Qualification/Experience:

  • Bachelors in computer science, software engineering or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of C++ and experience with scripting languages.

Required Competencies:

  • Basic working knowledge of Unreal Engine 4.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of gameplay systems.  
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with a solid work ethic.
