A44 Games are looking for people to join our team in beautiful Wellington, New Zealand. We’re currently expanding and on the hunt for talented, dedicated game developers to be part of our next adventure. The ideal candidate will have experience in games and an eagerness to push the boundaries of what an indie game can be. You must also be willing to relocate to Wellington.


Developing complex body and facial rigs for characters, creatures and props to a high standard using Maya

Working closely with Modelling and Animation departments to define the purpose and use of the rigs, and ensuring the rigs meet animators’ requirements

Setting up robust character dynamics such as rigid-bodies and cloth for game characters in-engine

Developing tools and scripts to optimize animation and rigging workflow, and modifying autorig components to suit studio needs

Troubleshooting character-rigging issues for artists


3-5 years’ experience in video game or vfx rigging
