As a Senior Shader Artist, you will be creating grounded and believable materials to assist the environments and characters team. You will collaborate with leads, producers and other developers to ensure the team is able to achieve a performant world for players to explore.

Responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Produce high quality shaders to support the overall art vision for the game

  • Author a wide variety of materials and shading pipelines

  • Identify and solve technical challenges

  • Scope out tasks and provide accurate timeline and schedule to complete

  • Produce and manage complex tasks independently to a high standard

  • Provide valuable ideas to discussions but also achieve direction

Skills Required:  

  • Be able to produce functional shaders in the game engine

  • Must have creative eye and technical skills

  • Understanding of AAA shaders and overall art quality

  • Good leadership skills and be able to assist and mentor others

Experience Required:

  • 2+ shipped console title or equivalent

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the games industry

  • Unreal Engine 4 experience is required

  • Strong understanding of Substance Designer, Painter and Quixel

  • Previously worked on AAA titles is required
