NZGDC 2021 is Less Than a Week Away!
29 July 2021

All of us at the NZGDA are looking forward to next week’s events. While we sadly will no longer be able to hang out with our friends across the ditch, they will be with us in spirit (and via zoom!) – all of our speakers from Australia will now be giving their talks/panels remotely.

Luckily we will be assisted by a dedicated team of organizers, a spectacular group of volunteers, and at the helm we’ve got our tech guru Ian Shepard – winner of the Pav’s te maunga kai kapua (teina) award [The Unsung Hero]! He’s been hard at work making sure that we deliver the best experience possible for all of our attendees and digital speakers. Please excuse any technical hiccups we experience along the way and be sure to give Ian a high five (or buy him a beer) on Friday!

In addition to two days jam-packed with talks and panels, we have a full day of workshops, a curated student day, social events, and the Indie Biz Showcase – be sure to buy your tickets to the workshops if you haven’t already.

See information below on all the events available next week, including a booth for Free Professional Headshots, the Indie Biz Showcase, the Afterparty, and the We’re in Games Social Meetup.

Look forward to seeing you all (or as many as we can) next week!

MYTONA, a local mobile & PC games developer with hits like Seekers Notes & Cooking Diary, has a lot in store for you coming August 5-6 2021 at NZGDC!

Join our speaker David Delgado (our senior software engineer) at the MYTONA Lounge and see our exciting new games, soon to become people’s favourites worldwide.

We are offering all our attendees a chance to chill out at the lounge, where you will find iPads with MYTONA games, free snacks, and free merch. Don’t miss out on it!

See you there,

MYTONA

Welcome to another NZGDC!

With so many valuable events all in one place, we hope you’ll find something you connect with–and we hope to connect with you! You’ll find us around the conference (look for the PikPok hoodies!), at the Indie Showcase, and at the Afterparty.

We also welcome you to view the opportunities listed on our website under PikPok.com/careers, where we are always looking for great people to join us. While we’re sad that our friends in Australia won’t be joining us this year, let us make this event a springboard for many more connections and conversations to come.

See you there!
