Join Us
Anyone can become a member of the NZGDA:
- Game and Interactive Studios are categorised into Membership Tiers based on the number of full-time employees + contractors that work in the studio.
- Individuals can get a membership for free through their employer or they can buy a membership directly from the NZGDA.
- Other groups such as media, partnership businesses, government departments, and educational institutions can also join as organisational members.
- Students and recent graduates (< 2 years post grad) can obtain student memberships at a discounted rate.
To Join the NZGDA – select your membership type:

| Tier 5 Studio | 4 – 10 | $1,000 |
| Tier 6 Studio | 1 – 3 | $250 |
| Large Partnership Business | 100+ | $10,000 |
| Small to medium Partnership Businesses | <100 | $5,000 |
| Government (Ministry/Department, Agency etc) | N/A | $3,000 |
| Education (university, Polytech etc) | N/A | $1,999 |
| Individual | N/A | $75 |
| Students | N/A | $20 |
All employees of member organisation are eligible for a free Individual Membership.
Individuals must have an Individual Membership to participate in the NZGDA’s professional development programs like the Mentorship Programme, Kiwi Game Starter, and NZGDC.
