NZGDA 2025/6 Board Election Results
9 December 2025

We are very pleased to share the results of the 2026 NZGDA Board elections and to welcome the newest members of our governance team. Our newly elected members Emma Procter, Simon McCallum and Nathania Sum join midterm board members Lance Burgess, Elissa Snowball, Anna Barham and Stacey Wood. Together they bring a diverse range of experience and a shared commitment to supporting Aotearoa’s growing and vibrant game development sector.

First board meeting and elected roles for 2026

The first meeting of the new board has now been held and the following members have been elected to governance roles for the 2026 year:

Board Chair Anna BarhamVice Chair Stacey WoodTreasurer Lance BurgessSecretary Elissa Snowball

We congratulate each of them and thank them for stepping into these important leadership positions.

Thank you to our outgoing board members

We also want to acknowledge the board members who are concluding their terms at the end of 2025. Gareth Keenan, Joshua Kamau and Johnson Whitehira have each completed two years of service and have contributed thoughtful guidance, time and energy to the association and our members.

A very special acknowledgment goes to outgoing Chair Carl Leducq who concludes five years on the NZGDA Board, including the past two years as Chair. Carl has provided steady, generous leadership through a period of significant growth and sector change. We are delighted that Carl will continue to support the association as Chair Emeritus, offering guidance to Anna and the board throughout the transition period.

Looking forward

Thank you to all candidates who stood for election and to every member who took the time to vote. The participation and support of our community are what keep NZGDA strong.
